We love supporting the arts in our community, don't you? We have a cool category in one of our online shops that can help you do just that. It is called Give The Gift Of Art and has several ways that you can give the gift of art supplies to others in the community. We work hard to fill in the gaps and make the list of needs fit into the budget for art teachers, non-profits, local grass roots small businesses, as well as supporting tons of community events. Check out some of the options below that we have available for you to partner with us in giving the gift of art: Teachers often have higher needs than their budget can fill for them. They spend their own time and money on supplies for their students. They also need to try new things and experiment with products to plan out new lessons. This gift adds a surprise gift card available for a teacher. We often create these from donations we received when people do not want to sell their supplies. We think it is fair to still pay for anything we will sell so we create gift cards to have available to surprise people with. We recently added this to our Giving category so that others can join the fun. Creston School is our neighborhood school serving a diverse community of students. We work with teachers and administrators on supplies for project needs. Creston is a PPS school dedicated to incorporating art into their programs and community outreaches. Elbow Room is a community-based progressive art studio program serving artists who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities. Founded in December 2020 as a series of accessible virtual art classes during extended shelter-in-place conditions, Elbow Room has expanded and is now offering both virtual and community-based art programming 30 hours/week to a community of 19 artists. Their mission is to keep our community connected and engaged with their creative practice to foster a sense of independent creative potential, and to access integrated opportunities to excel as contemporary artists. Mount Tabor Middle School Art Department has a spot on our site to help fund the creative adventures of local middle school students. Your donations will support the art students at Mt Tabor and will help fill in the gaps of their budget this year. This gift adds a surprise gift card available for a BIPOC Artist. We often create these from donations we received when people do not want to sell their supplies. We think it is fair to still pay for anything we will sell so we create gift cards to have available to surprise people with. We recently added this to our Giving category so that others can join the fun. Do you have supplies you don't need and don't really care about getting paid money or store credit in return for them? Just tell us to donate your portion to others, and we will do just that. Even if you don't specify this at a donation drop off, it is usually what we do if there is enough value to bless someone else with a gift card.
Do you have a school or organization that should have a spot in our giving shop? Let us know, we would love to have more options available to support the community and give the gift of art supplies to others. Comments are closed.
