Strathmore Center in Atlanta has a new virtual art exhibitions every 2 months. The current exhibition caught our eye with the lovely, inky drawings by artist, Mandi Moerland. In them, dancers bend, jump and balance on tip toes. Moerland's inks flow just like the dancers whose movement she elegantly captures on paper.
The full walk-through of the installed art on the walls is shown on Strathmore Center's website. They also have a virtual artist talk with Moerland. We like how Moerland's inky drawings were compared to the x-ray insides of Degas' bronze sculptures of ballerinas which very much look like a line sketches. Enjoy the virtual exhibition here. It will be up until September 2020. Should you feel inspired to do you own inky drawings, please don't hesitate to make a no-contact, curbside order with us at this link. We have plenty of ink, brushes and paper to satisfy your itch.
